Deadpool has a rather bland, choppy origin story that isn't remarkable enough to stand out from other superhero origin films. The plot is rather typical and formulaic. What stands out is the character himself, extremely entertaining, funny, and perverse.
The humor is great, the effects are decent, and the other characters help make it work. It's not perfectly perfect, but it works great with what it is.
