Review of Deadpool (2016) by Arlene M — 10 Jan 2017
After being tortured watching Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (which took me 4 hours to actually watch, honestly, I keep on pausing it and crying, "Why am I watching this?"); Deadpool is a breath of fresh air after being trapped for 4 hours in a elevator with an individual who can't stop farting out their lunch from Taco Bell... And man, that is nasty.
Deadpool, I mean Ryan Reynolds, encompasses the true embodiment of what a true anti-hero, superhero film is in an over-saturated Comi-Film Industry.
The comedic relief captures the heart of this love story, rather than force-feeding the overrated, cinematic 'action film' jargon. And after watching Batman vs. Superman, all I have to say is, "Really? Another rehashing of Comics shit? Seriously, how many more Batman and Superman films must Hollywood Producers shovel down our throats???".
Back to my review...
Everything about Deadpool was spot on: From the fluidity of the plot and story, the climax, those tight ass shots, the racy monogamous sex scenes, and Ryan Reynolds completely being himself; I couldn't believe the film ended so soon... And no, I am not being paid to write this, the production and distributing of Deadpool is making film viewing great again! It was the entire phenomenal (hard and dedicated) cast and crew of over 13,000, who seriously busted a nut making Deadpool one of my favourite films of 2016. I can't wait to watch it again, heck I'm adding Deadpool to my collection!
