Review of Deadpool 2 (2018) by Sean G — 26 May 2018
More of the same, this time without the (apparently masterful hand) of part one director Tim Miller. Deadpool 2 looks cheap compared to the first film despite having twice the budget.
Less clever, more predictable, jokes that are more on the nose and repetitive, yet Deadpool 2 is still very funny, rude etc.
Its biggest miss is its attempt to find the emotionally engaging love story of the first film and missing badly.
