Review of Deadpool 2 (2018) by Don F — 02 Jun 2018

Loved the first Deadpool movie. It had the perfect mix of action, emotion, humor, and bloody superhero stuff. Deadpool 2 has me feeling a bit less enthusiastic. The first half of the movie was a hodgepodge of happenings, with no apparent purpose or connection.

Then out of nowhere, this villain appears, literally out of thin air. Eventually it all comes together to make a really decent second half, but by then it had already lost me and never really reeled me back.

Regarding the writing, people criticized Ragnarok for its humor content. While Deadpool is meant to have the humor in abundance, it gets wearisome when 95% of Reynold's lines are meant to be humorous or sarcastic.

And I'm just not sure I was sold on Brolin as Cable.
