Review of Deadpool 2 (2018) by Caleb S — 18 Aug 2018
Ah, the funniest of them all back for a sequel. I was laughing through pretty much the whole movie, you know, besides the parts all throughout concerning his wanting for suicide. But, he always has a sarcastic or dirty or just plain funny comment abut pretty much everything, and they threw in just a little bit of gay to get the audiences dying of laughter and chuckles.
But some parts were very underwhelming, like the whole X-Force thing. I was hoping for an actual, legitimate team(by Deadpool's standards of course), but not for all of them but one to die(not counting Deadpool due to his near inability to die).
And, I may just be stupid, but, once the collar was put on him, his cancer started to affect him. But with his healing power, all of his cells would be perfectly healthy, so shouldn't he be just fine when the collar is off? Anyway, back to the rest of the story.
In the end, Deadpool puts the collar on and sacrifices himself to save Russell, but the entire reason he put it on was so that he wouldn't kill the guy that tortured him, but kill him instead, but either way, he's a killer!!! Which completely ruins the mission of trying to get him to not kill people.
Though I guess it makes somewhat sense, because the only way he'll be able to see Vanessa again is to die, which is a bit different from the comics(here's the info I was talking about in my Infinity War review).
In the comics, Deadpool wanted to get with Death, just as Thanos did, and the only way for him to do so would be to die. And you know how regeneration and healing goes. He can't die! But, he was supposed to die at the age of 102(I think).
Thanos got jealous by, I'm sure, the fact that Deadpool just had to sit and wait for his demise, while he had to kill half of the universe. So, Thanos gave Deadpool the "curse" of immortality, so he could wait for eternity and never die, thus, never getting with Death.
But that was way off topic. Besides the things I have already said, the movie was definitely worth splitting my sides lol. Though I could go without the disturbing image of Colossus killing baby Hitler.
