Review of Deadgirl (2008) by Richard C — 07 Oct 2009
"Disturbing" might be the appropriate word to describe this movie. But it manages to remain grounded in reality even as things get worse for the protagonist. If anyone has ever seen River's Edge (1986), this film is like the younger brother of that movie that watches more SAW films than he should.
But the filmmakers use the conventions of modern horror to their advantage and made a small film that manages to transcend the genre with interesting ideas.
