Review of Deadgirl (2008) by Barry S — 12 Oct 2009
I know alot of people could not get past the gross-out aspect of this film. but I really felt that I was, as was intended, to be a character study of sorts. and explore the nature of man, a la hobbes and rousseau.
it almost got there too. there are some plot holes in the movie, and one of the characters seemed to progress startlingly swiftly to his final depraved state, but I have a feeling that if a group of marginalised kids found a woman chained down in an abandoned building, many of the events that took place in the movie would have transpired.
nuff said. its definitely a watch and discuss movie.
