Review of Deadgirl (2008) by Jason D — 28 Feb 2010
What can I say I'm disturbed!! No seriously I must be to enjoy this movie so much. The content, direction, story line HAVE to be some of the most vivid mental imagery I can remember. It's definitely the new front for a psychological thriller. If you can sit through it all, you should appreciate this film on multiple levels. It definitely makes you think and question your own levels of morality. I'd reccommend this film to everyone, although as I've learned its NOT for everyone.
Going through and reading everyone's review I'd like to state for the record. This is NOT a zombie movie. Zombies are creatures that were dead and reanimated/mindless. This character is neither dead or alive. This original woman shows NO sign that she was killed or how it was. It's almost like a debate about the creation of man, as though she just was. The other distinctive difference is that this woman cannot be killed in ANY way. Unlike zombies/vampires/werewolfs/immortals. There is no obvious or discernible way to kill her unless I assume you were to completely destroy ALL physical tissue (like if you dropped a zombie/vampire/etc... into a molten volcano it wouldn't kill them?) Hell even molten steel can kill Arnold the govenor. So rethink your ideas about the primordial force that could be represented in this film.
