Review of Deadgirl (2008) by Sanal R — 19 Dec 2013
A film about outsiders and their very much forced realisation that no matter how hard they try, they will never be part of the "normal person" socially agreeable circle. Within the society this is the only way they can have power, the very stark reversal of roles for the jock and exploitation of his own value system makes it very clear that this is about how a society rejects certain people entirely, forcing them into a begging position, and the contrasts as people switch between these two societies.
.. The ending being the lead character's final realisation of his position in the world... "How else are we going to get a girl like this".
