Review of Deadfall Trail (2009) by Gabriel Arthur P — 03 Apr 2016
It's man on man on man vs. nature in the great outdoors. A duo of class act trail survivors take a young guy on an strictly back-to-nature expedition and proceed to make a bunch of dumb decisions resulting in a bad time.
The acting isn't too bad but then again the characters are all two-dimensional. You can't really say the young man learns and grows much beyond picking up a few survival tricks. You'd think the group would have brought more water with them on the trip.
If anything, let it be a precautionary tale: if you're going to go hiking in hundreds of miles of wilderness, bring smart things like a magnifying glass, flare gun, medical kit, radio, food and water.
And don't go if one of the people you're going with seems like an unhinged maniac. 2/5.
