A low budget film, that had potential to be quite interesting and fun even if the plot is somewhat mechanical and generic. Starts off fast with brother and sister (Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde) driving away from the casino they just robbed.

Their driver hits a deer and crashes off the road, while police officers come to the rescue, Addison, played by Bana, kills the officer and decides to split up with his sister to keep the loot safe. They both trek across the snowy state in hopes of finding shelter and meeting up later in a safe location.

Then, we meet Charlie Hunman's character, "Jay," who is a former boxer and is recently being released from prison. Jay gets his truck, and meets Liza (Wilde) on the road, but not after pounding the crap out of his old boxing coach at the local gym.

He takes her in, they get stranded at a bar, and you can guess what happens. The plot is somewhat predictable, and I won't tell you the rest because you can probably figure it out, but the acting isn't all that bad.

Mainly the strong performances by Eric Bana, Kris Kristofferson, and Sissy Spacek who have limited screen time. Its a good story, not a whole lot of crazy action but the action it does have is good. The thing that really disappointed me was the ending, its so abrupt, and it doesn't explain things all that well.

Otherwise, a pretty decent popcorn flick that I would suggest either watching on Netflix instant queue, or the $1 redbox rental. 3/5 JD.
