Review of Dead Space: Downfall (2008) by Robert M — 08 Feb 2009
75 mintues of pure bloooooood-shed. This film has some seriously nasty moments; so don't watch it while eating your dinner.
Story-wise, you haven't got much to work with; in fact you'll find the main ideas behind this have all been done many times over; but that's not what this is about. All it needs to do is set the story going for the game; nothing more, nothing less. And it does it brilliantly. It's a no-brains slasher horror movie, with some really pissed off alien bastards.
So, just like the game, it's a very enjoyable horror. It doesn't really matter what order you do them both either; I started with the game - finished it, then saw the film (which is set before the events of the game), and found I got no more or no less from that order.
