Great movie.. a lot of fun. Is it cinematic genius? No.. not as a movie in general.. but within its genre as an independent horror/comedy B movie? Yes.. it's pretty damn brilliant.
My only complaint is things got a bit too ridiculous. I know it's meant to be campy, and that is all in part of the fun; but they did a great job most of the movie making the campy/ridiculous theme and effects mesh right into a well executed film.. so I'd like to have seen a few spots restrained, where they went WAYYY over the top..
Still.. this is not campy in the way that it's fun to laugh at because it's so bad.. this is a good solid effort.. tho not for all.
It's Evil Dead-esque.. with not quite Shaun of the Dead level humor.. but closer to that, with far more well placed laughs than something like George Romero's zombie flicks or Resident Evil..
