Review of Dead Snow (2009) by Andrew C — 26 Apr 2011
Maybe I'm just getting zombied out but this Nazi Zombie Norweigan Horror comedy feels undistinguished considering its' unique scenario (Norweigan language film in snowy landscape with Nazi Zombies protecting their long, lost stolen gold).
Mostly goes through the motions with little novelty (Bunch of young people go to some vacation resort for sex and hijinks, doomsayer shows up to warn them, they awaken the undead anyway, yadda, yadda yadda) .
The director however shows some flair and promise of things to come even though the finale steals chunks from Evil Dead 2, Day of the Dead and Dead Alive (BrainDead).
