Quote from the synopsis: "Eight medical students on a ski trip to Norway discover that Hitler's horrors live on when they come face to face with a battalion of undead Nazi soldiers". You can tell pretty much straightaway that the film does not take itself serious and want to deliver a tongue-in-cheek and post-modern interpretation of the slasher film (a la Scream). The film's basic structure does not deviate from the common slasher film. A bunch of youngish folks in a remote cabin, with some key characters and some expendables. Introduce some grim backstory and legend lurking in the woods and off your marks. The rest is gore, death and mayhem. What makes this film slighlty more interesting is the utterly insane notion to make the enemies not only a bunch of Zombies but some crayz old nazis.

Yet, I expected a bit more from it. The Zombies, despite lookng grizzly and hilarious in their Nazi costume behave just like any other Zombie in a Zombie film and to me, the novelty of having Nazi Zombies quickly wears off because you just forget about after 5 minutes. The don't march, they don't make the Heil Salute, they don't do anything that would play on their heritage. Maybe it was out of political correctness but why include such an interesting premise if you are not going to capitalize on it ?

All in all, the film is more funny than scary and some of the gore and fight scenes are sheer lunacy. A must for genre lovers and slasher enthusiast but a bit of unused potential here.
