Review of Dead Snow (2009) by Esteban P — 30 Jul 2011
Dead Snow was a stroke of genius and a breath of fresh air, breathing new life into the zombie genre. While the conept of Nazi Zombies isn't anything new, it's never been done quite as good as this.
The film can be a bit campy at times, but not overly so, and whenever it does it feels as if it just might have been done on purpose. Some of the scares are a bit predictable, but it makes up for it with great amounts of pulpy zombie bashing action that just can't be ignored.
It's not subtle or even all that smart, but Dead Snow is one of the best zombie films you're likely to see in your lifetime.
