Review of Dead Snow (2009) by Joel D — 19 Jan 2013
Dead Snow is a film that attempts to bring "life" to the zombie sub-genre by incorporating a concept that is, on paper, great. While the concept is great, just about everything else in this movie is.
.. Not so great. At around 20 minutes in the acting takes a turn for the worse, even for a B, Independent Film. Some of the dialogue in the movie is quite laughable, and not in the way that the writers had intended.
Even the "jokes" are laughable in the sense of their complete stupidity. One of the few things that made me able to even finish the movie was the zombies. The make-up and acting were creepily effective.
It's a shame to see another great movie concept, let alone ZOMBIE movie concept to, basically, go down the drain.
