Review of Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead (2014) by Tim M — 05 Jan 2015
This sequel starts where the first one finished, Martin escapes by the whiskers on his stubbly chin, less an arm due to being bit towards the end of the first film, so, he cut it off, of course. In his escape from the clutches of Herzog, he ends up with a zombie Nazi commandant arm that has the power to resurrect the dead.
As Martin awakes in the hospital, he finds he has had said arm attached, doctors thinking it is his. So now Martin has a super strong Nazi zombie arm that can also resurrect the dead........you still following? Sooooo now with Herzog on the rampage towards populated Norwegian country towns, stabbing and slashing everyone in his path (kids, babies and the elderly are not spared in this film) it is up to Martin to save the day and with the help of the Zombie Squad from America, and, undead Russian soldiers, he has the confidence to kill Herzog and his undead horde.
This film takes everything from the first film and amps it up a few notches, there are quite a few laugh out loud moments of humourous gore, many people dying horrific deaths but done so outrageously that you cannot help but laugh.
It's more tongue in cheek than the first film, just mental. If you love your horror then check this out! Make sure you watch the first film first, though........Brutal.
