Review of Dead Silence (2007) by Jimi L — 30 Nov 2010
Before you turn this movie on, or go to the cinema, have on mind that director: James Wan, is quite young, however, very skillful and already have couple nice pieces behind. With such a character, you can expect of him to provide even some shock.
Dead Silence (2007), form the beginning shows quality of post-production.
Young couple, gets gift (Dummy), from anonymous sender. However, not so much suprised, they leave the Dummy with them Crucial moment is when in presence of the Dummy, wife is being horribly murdered, and, husband is set for prime suspect.
He leaves to his hometown, where he meets his father with whom he has not such a good relationship. He starts researching the meaning of the Dummy, and he hears the story of the Lady with the Dummy, connected to some unproven deaths.
It is really good perception of holywoodized Japanese story, but, here, ending is quite simple, staright and leaves no place for qestions. Simplified, and good storeyline.
