Review of Dead Silence (1991) by Daniel P — 02 Apr 2011
Enjoyable but demonstrably terrible film that is so ridiculously over the top, overblown, mind-rottingly STUPID and badly acted whilst somehow taking itself VERY SERIOUSLY, that I couldn't help but raise a smile and have a few chuckles.
It is, of course, not even the least bit scary or dramatically affecting and with the BOOM CRASH WALLOP score every single "fright" and plot twist is signalled to the nth degree. The giant plot holes, continuity errors and character inconsistences could form the basis of a deadly drinking game.
