Review of Dead Silence (1991) by Ken W — 04 Aug 2012
Dead Silence feels like the guys who wrote SAW, trying their hand at something else. The atmosphere, the directing, the soundtrack, all aren't just similar, they are identical. Complete with cliches galore, wooden characters and an expected-unexpected twist ending, this film has everything you would want in a D-grade horror movie.
There is nothing new being brought to the table here, but if you are happy with the tried and tested chills of modern horror films, then this film may still get a jump out of you.
