Review of Dead Ringers (1988) by Brad W — 01 Apr 2009
Dead Ringers is a slow stone cold movie. In a brilliant style, David Cronenberg tells the story without any form of emotion or sympathy for the brothers. In an unexplainable way, the cold and objective view is what makes this movie so terrifying. Along with the outstanding performance by Jeremy Irons. He really succeeds in making both of his characters go through insanity.
Dead Ringers is one of those movies almost impossible to judge. Half of the time what you see is brilliant and the other half has been confusing me a lot. A psychological thriller in its purest form!
Marvelous.
