Review of Dead Ringers (1988) by Graham L — 04 Sep 2008
Elements of this film are fascinating, Jeremy Irons' dual performance is masterful, and there is a genuinely unsettling atmosphere created, but something doesn't feel quite right... maybe it's too detached when it should be intimate and too clever when it should be simple.
It's not Cronenberg's best, but it is certainly worth seeing. It's thoughtful and provocative physical horror.
