Review of Dead Ringer (1964) by Mike M — 28 Jul 2014
Bette Davis shines in the dual role of twin sisters in this 1963 film noir/thriller, featuring a great musical score by Andre Previn and beautiful black and white cinematography. Follows the tale of one rough-and-tumble sister swapping her life for that of the rich, well-to-do sibling.
Strong supporting cast, too, particularly Karl Malden as the good cop/boyfriend of Edie. A tightly written script with an ending that does not disappoint.
