Both exciting and interesting, this half war/half ghetto action film is superbly acted, Menace II Society star Larenz Tate excelling in the lead role, showing both his soft and vulnerable side before he goes off to war, and his explosive temper, similar to Tate's character in Menace.
Chris Tucker also gives a career best performence as Tate's best friend, who cant get rid of the drug habbit he picked up in Vietnam.
