I was a fan of that movie before even seeing it for the soundtrack. Sly Stone, Isaak Hayes, James Brown, Harold Melvin and the blue notes, the Ojayâ??s and it goes on. The 70s are presented as dark period in America, the war, the drug, the economic decay, but the music as beautiful as it was didnâ??t reflect that era.
Chris Tuckerâ??s performance as the smack addicted is priceless. It upsets me that this movie didnâ??t open a wider array of role for this actor. He is much more than Rush hour. Excellent â??heist gone terribly wrongâ?? movieâ?¦.
