Review of Dead or Alive: Final (2002) by Wesley B — 26 Mar 2008
Miike fans who were disappointed by the second installment in the Dead or Alive trilogy should be happy with this one as it returns to more of a straightforward action movie formula. The plot is recycled from a million movies but the setting and colorful characters keep things interesting and moving along nicely.
Also in typical Miike fashion there are nice out of genre moments that don't make sense otherwise but make the viewing experience all the more worth it.
