Review of Dead Man's Shoes (2004) by Joshua A — 03 Jun 2008
Paddy Considine simply controls this film as the unhinged but methodical Richard.
When his younger brother is Killed by a local gang his revenge starts off Funny but then thanks to Shane Meadows twisted direction the film takes a turn for the gory and dark.
Where some films go all out for gore the Violence here is shocking because its all so sudden and real its like a Slasher Movie Directed bY MIke Leigh if you can imagine such a thing.
The acting is all first rate and the film is well shot and directed by Shane Meadows.
A British film with Guts and Brains and one I cannnot recommend enough.
