When it comes to bleak impoverish British drama,meadows gives Mike Leigh a run for his money. Although Meadows films have an uncomfortable edge that leave the viewer not knowing which way his tale will meander.
Id like to see him work with a bigger budget & more accomplished actors. Dead Mans Shoes for me is his best to date.
