Review of Dead Man's Shoes (2004) by Brian R — 07 Nov 2008
This film stays with you for a long time after you've watched it, which, given some of the graphic violence in it, isn't a completely good thing. Paddy Considine gives an astonishingly unhinged performance in the lead role, but for me the film doesn't really hang together - Shane Meadows tries to blend almost "Grand Guignol" horror with black comedy, but it's an uneasy mixture.
