It takes a lot of balls to make a revenge film and not make it as pointless and shallow as Kill Bill. Park managed to do it with his Revenge Trilogy however its success was based primarilly on the visual beauty of his creations.
Meadows has managed to create a brilliant film by sticking to brute realism. It's really a sad revenge story however no cheese can be found here.
