Review of Dead Man's Shoes (2004) by Andrew K — 11 Jan 2009
The greatest British film ever made ? .... maybe/maybe not, but it's certainly up there with the best of British cinema, it's not a unique idea for a film, in fact it's a straight up and down revenge film with some added twists and turns along the way, but even so, it makes for gripping viewing and Paddy Considine turns in a spell binding performance in the lead role.
The front cover of the dvd describes it as "Rambo first blood meets Taxi driver in the midlands" ... thats a pretty accurate description.
