Review of Dead Man's Shoes (2004) by Cody F — 22 May 2009
A very watchable Revenge tale. Paddy Considine is one of those people you can't take your eyes off when he's on screen. He turns in a fantastic performance, and his character's methods are refreshingly unusual.
I also enjoyed how real the group of drug dealers felt, instead of being just movie characters. I probably would have given this a higher rating except that I felt like the director spent way too much screen time on the grainy black and white flashbacks that only occasionally added to the storyline, the rest of the time it feels like you're watching the same thing over and over.
