Review of Dead Man's Shoes (2004) by Arin D — 15 Apr 2010
Effective low grade tension as a man takes revenge on his brother's killers. Much is made of contrasting the beauty of Yorkshire's hills and dells with the squalor of the lives of petty drug-dealers and small-town bullies.
Not really a misstep anywhere, but somehow Paddy Considine's late-film self-annihilatory motivations felt forced. He is however, a fairly convincing actor.
