Review of Dead Man's Shoes (2004) by Brian M — 28 Apr 2011
A powerhouse of a movie driven by a career defining performance from Paddy Considine. It plays to none of the rules you expect and would never have been made by Hollywood due to the respect it gives to the audience and characters.
The irrefutable truth that life is not a 'box of chocolates' is never more clearly etched with a central character that drives and is driven by both the circumstances and choices that we all hope we never face.
