Review of Dead Man Walking (1995) by Joe N — 26 Mar 2009
Simple but emotionally draining. Nothing fancy here. Sean Penn was great once again. How Susan Sarandon won the Oscar for Best Actress, I do not know. Her portrayal of Sister Helen had no emotional connection with Penn's character. She didn't have much emotion at all, really.
Overall good. Simple and not aimed to wow but honest and emotional.
See a very young Jack Black lol.
