Review of Dead Man Walking (1995) by Drew C — 06 Oct 2009
The beautiful thing about this film, is the serious authenticity writer/director Tim Robbins brings to it. There is no surprise ending that he is suddenly found innocent, the nun and the convict don't run away together.
It's just a film of unflinching power and strength anchored by the absolute genius of Sean Penn and the understated grace of Susan Sarandon. Worthy of strong recommendation.
