Review of Dead Man Walking (1995) by Ryan P — 08 Oct 2012
Wow what a great movie! Susan Sarandon was brilliant as she plays as a nun who gets these letters from inmates that are death row. She gets one from Matthew poncelet who us in for rape and murder. She goes and offers her help to comfort him as it gets closer to his death sentence.
She eventually becomes his spiritual advisor. Very powerful performances from Susan surandon and Sean penn. you feel bad for the kids that got murdered but also look at the prisoners view as he faces death and he admit to what he did before he gets executed.
Looking nit at a monster but at guy who gas a heart but done a horrible thing. Not only is Tim Robbins a brilliant actor he is a brilliant director too as this is his second film he directed. Brilliant filmmaking at its best and if you have not seen it yet I suggest you do view it.
