Review of Dead Man on Campus (1998) by A O — 04 Feb 2007
When you look at the synopsis, actors, and director for this movie, tell me; Who the HELL would want to see this? Two-bit ex-teen hearthrobs, a dark comedic tone in a teen comedy, and a first-time director, and we have ourselves a set-up for pure crap.
However, that isn't what we got. We got a genuinely interesting, surprising, and hilarious take on college life. With Everett Scott and Gosselaar, who REALLY comes into his own, and stand-out supporting roles with Hannigan and Munro (CRAZY ACTING, STEALS THE SHOW), this is a true college campus classic that is our generations black-comedy 'Animal House'.
It's films like this that go to show that things aren't always as they appear.
