Review of Dead Man on Campus (1998) by Thomas B — 22 Mar 2011
This movie hits the spot for me. You really got to get into it in order to like it. This is truly the "Animal House" of the 90's! The casting isn't star-studded, but it works for what the film needs, producing memorable performances for their respective characters.
Each character has a memorable scene which can be easily referred to when talking about this movie. Cinematography is standard, so don't expect anything noticeably outstanding in that category. The soundtrack is killer! Amongst the coolest stoner film soundtracks I've ever heard, and one I've been dying to have in my music collection! The storyline is loose, true, but it's supposed to be like that: COLLEGE is like that.
All-in-all, this film is amongst the most underrated college comedies of all-time. One of the few great MTV films ever produced. This a hardcore cult-classic! Sometimes I wonder how I would look at college without it.
