Review of Dead Man Down (2013) by Will A — 15 Mar 2013
Even though it was marketed by WWE studios, I was surprised at how much I liked this film. But for the longest time, I really couldn't figure out the reason for including Beatrice in it - other than the generic "humanization" of Victor.
In the end, this was the only reason I think that she was in the film. She provides a reason for Victor to clean house (literally) towards the end of the film, which demonstrates that he does care for someone else now, but the ending itself was a bit too stereotypical: lots of guns, blood, and explosions.
From the beginning, you wonder how things and people relate to each other, and this gets a little tiresome after a while. Nevertheless, it retains a good bit of mysteriousness throughout, and thankfully, the trailers don't give away too much of what's really going on.
