Review of Dead Man Down (2013) by Anand K — 07 Jul 2013
A solid neo-noir with a bit of over the top action thrown into it. I feel like this is the closest we're gonna get to a proper Max Payne film. I thought Colin Farrell did a great job considering it's a role that fits him.
I love the look of the movie, the constant dark clouds over New York fit perfectly. While I do enjoy Noomi Rapace's performance, there was a few minor story details that bugged me. Dominic Cooper did a fine job and Terrence Howard just feels out of place.
Overall, it's worth a look.
