Review of Dead Man Down (2013) by James D — 22 Aug 2013

I've never really been a big fan of films that come out of WWE Studios, but since this one had a good cast with Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, and Terrance Howard, I thought I'd give it a shot. The movie starts out quickly, with a decent fire fight, but then sinks into a quicksand of awkward silences, boring dialogue, and character buildup that seems to take forever.

Granted, there is one or two decent action sequences in the hour of steady boringness. Once it does pick back up it seems to go to fast and before you know it the credits are rolling. The acting is good, so that's a plus, and there are two good twists that kept me from turning off the film, but in the end I was bored.

Another WWE Studios film that can be missed. 3/5 JD.
