Review of Dead Man (1995) by Nate A — 30 May 2008
Trippy revisionist western. Don't come here looking for shootouts and one-liners. This is a slow-paced mood piece and there is very little action. Depp's transformation from silent pencil pusher to outlaw is done well, and there are tons of great cameos.
Very funny and disturbing and one of the more interesting westerns that I've seen. The soundtrack by Neil Young is great.
