Review of Dead Man (1995) by Josh F — 27 Jul 2008
An interesting take on the Western genre with a great first half, but the 2nd half walks into bizarre and boring territory. The film is subtle, slow paced, and very quiet. The film sets itself up for greatest but the boring 2nd half prevents it from achieving it.
Plus the whole thing feels very amateurish and completely takes you out of the film. The cast is great though, and the film is worth checking out. It just didn't do too much for me.
