Review of Dead Man (1995) by Monique M — 25 May 2009
Who'd thought that weird could be so appealing? I must say that at first I was a little puzzled by this plot which seemed somehow improvised as everything came about so unmotivated, and even more irritated by the music: I could virtually feel Neil Young sitting on my couch and twiddling away at his guitar while I was trying to focus on and enjoy the movie.
Later I got into the mood and right now I couldn't think of any other movie as visually mind-blasting as this one. About as art as a movie can get.
