Review of Dead Man (1995) by Carlos I — 12 May 2010
The director of this must have been artsy fartsy. It does have, at some points, a Quentin Tarantino vibe going on, but the movie for the most part is dull and boring.
SPOILER ALERT:
The ending is less than happy, which upset me a bit. But we can't all have happy endings can we? I enjoyed the friendship developed between William Blake and Nobody. The action sequences are a redeeming factor too, but does not quite make up for the pointlessly long dragging on of scenes that could put a crackhead to sleep. This isn't a masterpiece. It's a mastersleep.
