Review of Dead Man (1995) by Jeremiah G — 28 Aug 2012
This movie is a bit strange but I enjoyed it. It was pretty simple as far as plot. Everything was done well. The bad guys were probably one of the best assembled even though most of the appearances from the stars were basically cameos. I wonder where they shot the coastal Indian village, if it was an actual place or they created it for the movie. I also wonder where the westcoast canoe was from & where they shot the beach scenes.
I'm pretty sure I saw Wade Green for about 7 seconds when Depp was going into shock from being shot just outside the big longhouse where the front opened up like a big carved mask.
This is a simple movie but worth it to see the Washington tribal cameos, the cool westcoast village & the westcoast canoe Depp goes out to sea to cross to the other side in. Definitely a must see if you're familiar with westcoast tribal people.
