Review of Dead Man (1995) by Blackity B — 13 May 2008
This movie started out excellent, I was really prepared to love it...but then it got slower, weirder, slower, weirder, to the point where it seemed to lose all sense of purpose and direction. I mean you can feel it was aiming for something, something profound...but I neither understood what that was, nor do I think it was said in the best way.
Beautiful cinematography and Johnny Depp as brilliant as always...but much like the ending, the movie just seemed to float away into nothingness.
