Very unusual film, but it's actually pretty decent. I still don't think I've determined what the overall point of the story was, but it was quirky and entertaining enough to maintain my interest.
great cast--putting Johnny Depp, John Hurt, and Robert Mitchum on the same screen was a terrific treat, and Gary Farmer gives a great supporting performance as well. Neil Young's distortion-guitar score was also unexpectedly fitting.
off-beat and strangely poetic, this film is modern celluloid art.
